Springfield, MA - Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced Sunday that the Panthers have recalled defenseman
Jakub Kindl from the Springfield Thunderbirds.
The 29-year old Kindl has recorded three points (1-2-3) in nine games with Springfield (AHL) this season. During the 2015-16 season, Kindl recorded two points (0-2-2) in 19 games with the Panthers, six points (2-4-6) in 25 games with the Detroit Red Wings and four points (3-1-4) in 10 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL).
The 6-3, 199-pound native of Sumperk, Czech Republic has played 292 NHL games for the Panthers (2015-16) and Red Wings (2009-16) recording 70 points (16-54-70). Kindl was originally selected by Detroit in the first round (19th overall) of the 2005 NHL Draft.
The Thunderbirds will stay on home ice following a Sunday night loss to the Binghamton Senators. Springfield takes to the ice on Nov. 11, as they begin a third consecutive three-game weekend by facing the St. John's IceCaps at the MassMutual Center on Friday at 7:05 p.m. ET.
