Panthers Recall F Malgin from T-Birds

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today the club has recalled forward Denis Malgin from the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds. 
 
Malgin, 20, registered three points (1-2-3) in three games with the Panthers during the 2017 preseason. In 2016-17, the 5-foot-9, 177-pound native of Olten, Switzerland, appeared in 47 games with Florida, recording 10 points (6-4-10). Malgin played in 15 games with Springfield and posted 12 points (3-9-12). Malgin recorded one assist in three games over the weekend for the Thunderbirds.
 
He was originally selected by the Panthers in the fourth round (102nd overall) of the 2015 NHL Draft.
 
The Thunderbirds will also be back on home ice for the first 3-2-1 Friday on October 20 as they host the Providence Bruins. Rene Rancourt will perform the national anthem as he makes his annual pilgrimage to Springfield, presented by King Ward Coach Lines.
