Panthers Recall G Wilcox on Emergency Basis

SUNRISE, Fla. - Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have recalled goaltender Adam Wilcox from the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds, on an emergency basis.

Wilcox, 24, has played in nine games with the Springfield Thunderbirds owning a 4-3-1 record, 2.02 goals against average, .932 save percentage and two shutouts. On March 1, 2017, the Panthers acquired Wilcox from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for goaltender Mike McKenna.
 
In 43 AHL games this season with Springfield and the Syracuse Crunch, Wilcox possesses a 22-12-5 record, 2.69 goals against average, .903 save percentage and three shutouts. The 6-foot, 189-pound native of St. Paul, Minn., was originally selected by Tampa Bay in the sixth round (178th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.
