T-Birds Recall F MacAulay from Everblades (ECHL)

Springfield, MA- The Springfield Thunderbirds announced they have recalled forward Stephen MacAulay from the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.

The 24-year-old center has skated in 28 games for the Thunderbirds this season, scoring two goals and adding two assists. Since his assignment to the Florida Everblades, MacAulay has scored 10 goals and 19 points in just 23 contests.

MacAulay is originally a sixth round draft selection of the St. Louis Blues in the 2010 NHL Draft. He previously played in the AHL for the Hamilton Bulldogs for an eight-game stint in 2013-14. MacAulay was junior teammates with Thunderbirds defenseman MacKenzie Weegar, where the pair won a Memorial Cup with Halifax in 2012-13.

The Thunderbirds embark on their final 3-in-3 of the season on Friday as they visit the Rochester Americans for a 7:05 p.m. ET puck drop.
