Thunderbird Thursdays Begin This Week in Springfield

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Thunderbirds are pleased to announce the commencement of Thunderbird Thursday’s, presented by the Springfield Business Improvement District.

Thunderbird Thursday’s will run from 4:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. each week from Sept. 15 to Oct. 27 in downtown Springfield. Thunderbird Thursday’s will rotate between three locations: 1350 Main Street by the Mass Live Building, 1550 Main Street, and The Shops at Marketplace at the rear of 1341 Main Street.

Each of the special Thunderbird Thursday’s will feature live music, a beer garden and food as part of the networking festivities. The Thunderbirds’ promotional team will also be on site each week with an inflatable slap shot game, ticket information and raffle prizes.

The schedule for Thunderbird Thursday’s is as follows:

 

  • Sept. 15: 1350 Main St (Mass Live Building)

  • Sept. 22: 1550 Main St

  • Sept. 29: The Shops at Marketplace (1341 Main St, rear)

  • Oct. 6: 1350 Main St (Mass Live Building)

  • Oct. 13: 1550 Main St

  • Oct. 20: The Shops at Marketplace (1341 Main St, rear)

  • Oct. 27: 1350 Main St (Mass Live Building)

The Thunderbirds begin the next era of professional hockey in Springfield on Saturday, Oct. 22 against the St. John’s Ice Caps. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. ET at the MassMutual Center. Fans can also see the Thunderbirds in action for pre-season matchups on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8, at the MassMutual Center. Single game ticket information will be available in the coming weeks.
