Panthers Recall F Balisy from Springfield

SUNRISE, Fla. – Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Dale Tallonannounced today that the club has recalled forward Chase Balisy from Florida’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds.
 
Balisy, 25, has appeared in eight games with Springfield, scoring two goals. During the 2016-17 season, the 5-foot-11, 179-pound native of Fullerton, Calif., led the Thunderbirds with 45 points (17-28-45) in 76 games.
 
Balisy has played in 101 consecutive American Hockey League regular season games dating back to the 2015-16 season and is the Thunderbirds all-time leader in games played (84), assists (28) and points (47).
 
He was originally selected by the Nashville Predators in the sixth round (170th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft. 
 
The Thunderbirds return home on Friday for the back half of a home-and-home series with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The two teams will meet inside the MassMutual Center on a 3-2-1 Halloween-themed Friday at the Thunderdome. Puck drop that evening is set for 7:05 p.m. ET.
