T-Birds Recall F Aagaard from Manchester (ECHL)

Springfield, MA – The Springfield Thunderbirds announced Thursday that they have recalled forward Mikkel Aagaard from the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL.

 

The 22-year-old Aagaard scored three goals in 19 games in Springfield before his assignment to the Monarchs. In 18 games with Manchester, he has recorded three goals and nine assists for 12 points, as well as 14 penalty minutes and a +3 rating.

 

The native of Frederikshavn, Denmark is in his second full pro season, having spent last season in the AHL with the Stockton Heat and in the ECHL for the Adirondack Thunder.

 

The Thunderbirds' homestand continues following Wednesday's tilt with the second matchup of the season against the Binghamton Devils. The T-Birds will be going for a franchise record sixth straight triumph. Puck drop on Friday night is set for 7:05 p.m. ET at the MassMutual Center.
