T-Birds Recall Leitner from Manchester (ECHL)

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Thunderbirds announced that they have recalled forward Matt Leitnerfrom the Manchester Monarchs (ECHL).

In 51 games for Manchester this season, the 5-foot-9 inch, 185-pound Leitner has registered 53 points (14 goals, 39 assists). He had two assists in an earlier six-game stint with Springfield this season.

Leitner and the Thunderbirds take on Providence tonight and then will get another crack at their Friday opponents on Sunday afternoon when the Albany Devils visit the MassMutual Center for a 3:05 p.m. ET puck drop to close out the teams' season series.
